Using those sources and the patch tool, you can include our sources in the VLC version you want (>= 0.8.6d) - sources directly included in VLC 0.8.6d, available on our svn, or directly using this snapshot
You will have to compile those sources, to do so, refer to the howto-compile available on this page.
